Mais lorsque Jack donne un jour un bain trop chaud \u00e0 Manuel et que son petit fr\u00e8re se blesse, les services sociaux interviennent. Jack est alors plac\u00e9 dans un foyer, mais n'y reste pas longtemps. Apr\u00e8s un incident tragique, il s'enfuit et reprend le chemin de la maison. Il esp\u00e8re y retrouver son fr\u00e8re bien-aim\u00e9. Mais ni Manuel ni Sanna ne sont \u00e0 la maison. Jack finit par retrouver son fr\u00e8re, confi\u00e9 par sa m\u00e8re \u00e0 une connaissance depuis plusieurs jours. Son fils Kader (Abdelkader Djellouli) lui conseille de prendre sa retraite dans sa ville natale d'Afrique du Nord, mais Slimane ne le souhaite pas. Il pr\u00e9f\u00e8re utiliser son indemnit\u00e9 de licenciement pour r\u00e9nover un bateau et le transformer en un restaurant de sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s maghr\u00e9bines. Apr\u00e8s bien des conflits, ce projet va bient\u00f4t impliquer toute la famille de Slimanee, de son ex-femme - cuisini\u00e8re de couscous \u00e9m\u00e9rite - \u00e0 Rym (Hafsia Herzi), la fille de sa nouvelle compagne, qui l'aide dans le difficile parcours du combattant des instances bureaucratiques. Un grand banquet doit servir de tremplin et de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition g\u00e9n\u00e9rale. Lorsque le moment arrive enfin, des tensions inattendues apparaissent...
